Eritrea hold Rwanda
Rwanda have been held to a 1-1 draw by Eritrea in their 2014 FIFA World Cup preliminary round, first leg, qualifier in Asmara on Friday.
The result was an excellent one of the home side, though Rwanda will still feel they are in control of the tie with the home leg to come on Tuesday.
This game was a first in charge for new Rwanda coach Milutin Sredojevic and he will be pleased to have come away with the draw, having gone behind in the first half.
The home side took the lead 10 minutes before the break, before Rwanda equalised on 52 minutes.
Neither side could force a winner and so we go into Tuesday’s second leg with the tie finely balanced.
Rwanda should be confident of completing the job against their opponents, who are ranked 190 in the world.
