Tanzania football fans are bracing themselves for yet another mouth-watering clash pitting traditional soccer rivals Dar Young Africans (Yanga) and Simba Sports Club who face off on August 13 in the Charity Shield Trophy.
The anxiously awaited showdown will serve as a curtain raiser for the 2011/12 Vodacom Premier League.
The match comes barely two months after Yanga won the League title with 47 points after edging out Simba SC on goal difference.
The sides also met in the Cecafa Kagame Cup final with Yanga again emerging victorious.
Simba have already left for residential camp in Zanzibar ahead of the August 13 clash.
The Kagame final between the two soccer giants beamed live on SuperSport Channel 9 grossed Tshs. 355million.
Yanga’s achievement saw the club lavished with a heroes welcome by Tanzania Parliament on Friday in Dodoma.
